Dropkick Murphys / Haywire - New England Forever (CD)
Die Dropkick Murphys werden eine 12-Zoll-Split-LP mit ihren jüngsten Tourpartnern Haywire unter dem Titel „New England Forever“ veröffentlichen. Die beiden Bands aus Boston, die sich im vergangenen Herbst auf einer gemeinsamen Europatournee kennengelernt haben, haben für die 8-Song-LP jeweils drei eigene Songs sowie eine Coverversion eines Songs der jeweils anderen Band aufgenommen. Haywire nahmen „The Boys Are Back“ von den Dropkick Murphys auf, und die Dropkick Murphys nahmen „Always By My Side“ von Haywire auf.
Iron Reagan - Crossover Ministry (CD)
Die Crossover-Devianten Iron Reagan - eine Superband, die aus Bandmitgliedern von Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse und Darkest Hour 2012 gegründet wurde - rufen dazu auf ihrem eigenen heiligen Orden des Thrash beizutreten. Auf ihrem brandneuen Album »Crossover Ministry« predigen sie auf 18 Tracks und über dreißig Minuten eine rasende Punk-Metal-Wut. Das Album-Coverartwork wurde von keinem Geringeren als David Cook aka Bonethrower designt, der schon für Mastodon, Young Widows u.a. gearbeitet hat. Mit »Crossover Ministry« stellen Iron Reagan klar unter Beweis, warum sie vollkommen zu Recht zu den Anführern des Thrash-Evangeliums gehören, ihre bösartige Predigt sollte man auf keinen Fall verpassen!
